A privacy policy that you can actually read

Privacy

At HandL we believe that your data should remain yours, and we have created a clear privacy policy that you can actually read, and in less than 3 minutes:

What we DO

What we DON’T

We use your camera only when you chose to scan a business card, or when you add a picture to a contact.

We analyze business card images to transform an image as text, then to associate the text to fields. All operations are taking place on-device, no data is sent across the network.

We add contacts to your Address Book only when you chose to have Contact Snapper synchronized with your Address Book.

We access your photo library when you chose to add a picture within your photo library to a contact.

All purchase transactions are between you and Apple. We don't have access to any information visible on screen, nor to information linked to your Apple account.

First and Foremost, we don't know who you are, and we'll never ask you personal information. No account is required to use this App.

We will not Analyze, Forward, or Process any information related to your contacts.

We don’t store any of your contact information outside your own device or iCloud account, which we can’t access.

We never save images in your photo library.

We will never send you Notifications.

We never use your location information.

Why am I requested to grant access to my Camera?

This request will be made the first time you want to scan a Business Card. If you don’t authorize this access, it will be impossible to read the content of a Business Card.

Why am I requested to grant access to my contacts?

This request will be made only if you choose to have Contact Snapper interact with your device's Address Book. Contact information are saved within Contact Snapper, but you may also choose to have your device's address book updated.

Can I change my privacy settings?

At any time. From you device Settings App scroll To ‘Contact Snapper’ to review and update your privacy settings.

Do we store information on servers?

Yes, in 2 different ways:

  • 1. On your own iCloud space, which we have no access to. This is used to synchronize data between devices sharing the same iCloud account.
  • 2. We also store data on our own server, none being related to you or your contacts.
