A privacy policy that you can actually read
At HandL we believe that your data should remain yours, and we have created a clear privacy policy that you can read in less than 5 minutes:
First and Foremost, we don't know who you are, we'll never ask you personal information, or email address. We will never send you Push-Notifications. No account is required to use this App.
What we DO
What we DON’T
We use your camera only when you chose to scan a business card, or when you add a picture to a contact.
We analyze business card images to transform an image as text, then to associate the text to fields. All operations are taking place “on-device”, no data is sent across the network.
We add contacts to your Address Book only when you chose to have Contact Snapper synchronized with your iOS contacts.
We will not Analyze, Forward, or Process any information related to your contacts.
We don’t store any of your contact information outside your own device or iCloud account, which we can’t access.
We never save images in your photo library.
We never use your geolocation information.
We access your photo library when you chose to add a picture within your photo library to a contact.
All purchase transactions are between you and Apple. We don't have access to any information visible on screen, nor information linked to your Apple account.
Why am I requested to grant access to my camera?
This request will be made the first time you want to scan a business card. If you don’t authorize this access, it will be impossible to read the content of the card.
Why am I requested to grant access to my contacts?
This request will be made only if you choose to have Contact Snapper interact with your device's Address Book. Contact information is saved within Contact Snapper, but you may also choose to have your device's address book updated.
Can I change my privacy settings?
At any time. From your device’s “Settings” App scroll to ‘Contact Snapper’ to review and update your privacy settings.
Is information stored on servers?
Yes, in 2 different ways:
1. On your own iCloud space, which we cannot access. This is used to synchronize data between devices sharing the same iCloud account.
2. We also store data on our own server, such as your Contact Snapper App settings, but nothing more.
